Amateur Voice Acting
Amateur voice acting is the process of recording spoken lines or songs and mixing them together with animation, music, video games or a combination of those. A lot of people, especially teenagers, enjoy voice acting because they can become someone completely different without leaving the comfort of their home. You don't even need to show your face to anyone. In order to become an amateur voice actor, you need a few things: 1. a quality microphone
2. headphones
3. a computer with recording software If your microphone frequently has buzzes or clicks, a producer won't cast you in their production. You need to be able to have a clear recording where your voice can be heard well. Headphones come in handy when you are recording songs. The original song can play through your headphones while you sing alone and the original music won't come across on your recording. Again, a clear recording is absolutely necessary. Once you have these three things, it's off to find some auditions and nab yourself a role. You can look around on Yahoo!Groups or the forums at VoiceActingAlliance.com. Have fun and break a leg! |
